Why market cap is only a starting point

Market capitalization is easy to compare, but it is not a full maturity measure. It says little about liquidity quality, supply overhang, concentration, governance, exchange access, or how the asset behaves under stress.

A large market cap can still trade poorly in specific venues or regions. A smaller asset can have strong community activity but weak execution depth. Mature analysis keeps those dimensions separate before summarizing them.

Read liquidity and volatility together

Liquidity is more useful when read beside realized volatility and drawdown. An asset that moves sharply while depth is thin can be harder to enter or exit than a simple price chart suggests.

The practical question is not whether volatility exists. It is whether the available liquidity, spread, position size, and holding period are compatible with the visitor's own constraints.

Supply maturity and FDV gap

Circulating supply, total supply, maximum supply, and fully diluted valuation describe different parts of the same supply picture. A wide FDV gap does not automatically make an asset weak, but it does require unlock context.

When unlock schedules are unknown, the honest output is missing information. Missing supply data should not be silently converted into a zero-risk assumption.

Scenario thinking beats single scores

A transparent maturity profile is more useful than a universal best-coin ranking. It shows which dimensions are strong, which are incomplete, and which assumptions the visitor supplied manually.

PartnerCrypto's Market Maturity Explorer is intentionally educational. It does not reproduce a proprietary framework, generate a buy signal, or claim that one formula captures market quality.
